I want to thank all of our loyal customers that we have served over the last 7 years at WideScreen TV Inc. I was given the opportunity to take over this small tv repair shop in Kings Mountain from my father-in-law in January of 2010. My goal was to make this the BEST tv repair shop in all of Gastonia and Charlotte. I wanted to minimize the amount of tv’s that ended up in a landfill or just be recycled. It was exciting to me to think that I could make money and save my neighbors money from having to go buy a new tv. Over time we picked up LG, Sharp, Seiki, Sanyo, Warrentech, Mack Warranty, Hitachi and many other service agreements. We added custom audio & video installation, new tv sales, Direct TV, Dish Network and Vivint SmartHome. Our reviews over the last 7 years have put us on the “A’ list with companies like Angie’s list, Home Advisor, the BBB and Google. I apologize for the rant, but it was an exciting run in the small business world. Thank you again for all of the customers that have taken the time to review our service!

The reason for the closing is due to the lack of qualified tv technicians that are out there. My technician found a better paying job and has relocated away from Charlotte. I knew it was coming and had tried for over a year to find a replacement with no success. There are no colleges that offer courses on television repair and this industry just does not attract those interested in learning.

I would like to thank all of my employees for helping us become successful. I want to give a special thanks to Becky, my office manager. With out Becky, we could have never been so successful at taking care of our customers, running the office smoothly and keeping it all together. Thank you Mrs Becky!
